On the 11th September, Year 4 ventured up to Stanley head Outdoor Education Centre to take part in survival and adventure activities. They have been studying the book Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo which tells the story of a boy who is washed up on an island in the Pacific. Michael struggles to survive on his own, with no food, no water and no shelter. To help understand the challenges Michael faced, the children undertook a number of activities. They all had a wonderful time but came back to school looking very tired – apparently survival is hard!
