Special Educational Needs

Summerbank is an inclusive school where we want all of our children to make good progress and achieve their potential.  Children can have specific needs related to social, emotional, learning, physical or sensory difficulties which make it harder for them to access the curriculum.  We strive to ensure that children’s individual needs are met so that they can thrive within our school.

What to do if you are concerned about your child

The first point of contact if you have concerns about your child should be their class teacher.  For more specialist advice relating to Special Educational Needs our SENCo is Mrs Shortt, if you would like to speak with her please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
