P.E. Plan 2016

P.E. Plan

The Government is providing funding to provide new and substantial primary school sport funding.  The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school Head Teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their chidlren.  Each school will recieve £8,000 plus an extra £5 per pupil each year to for the next two years.

In academic year 2016/17, our allocation was £9,450.  We expect to receive a similar amount in 2017/18 but are hopeful that the government will fulfil its promise to double the funding within the academic year.

We plan to raise standards in PE by:

  • Continuing with our ongoing programme of training for staff
  • Broadening our PE curriculum by introducing a variety of exciting new sports
  • Providing resources in order to introduce new sports/enhance current provision
  • Continuing to bring in specialist coaches to teach children and build on staff skills in a variety of sports

PE and Sport Premium Funding and its impact are reviewed at the end of the school academic year and published within the PE and Sport Premium Funding Report the following autumn.  Reports from previous years are published below.   Please click here to see how we spend our PE and Sport Premium Funding.
